Shop bought should be OK as its apparently made with pasteurised eggs,Home-made should be avoided as its made from raw eggs.Check the ingredients on the shop bought though.Best to watch in restaurants etc cos theirs could be home-made.

Mayonnaise is made with raw egg yolks and a pregnant lady should not have raw eggs. The very slight risk of salmonella to all of us would be higher for her.
Drisgirl is correct. As long as its pasteurised you'll be OK. So shop-bought is OK but home-made isn't. Importantly, unless you bought the jar yourself, always assume it's home-made.
better safe than sorry. Even if you love mayonnaise its not important to have it so just avoid for 9 months.
Hellmans Mayonaise is fine, my sis had it when she was preggers. The stores own tend to be with Raw eggs so thats a no no.
I'm also pregnant (15 weeks) and Hellmans is fine, but i won't touch any other mayo which i'm unsure of.
Shop-bought mayo is fine as it goes through processes. Home-made versions should be avoided
