why do dominos make pizzas with such ridiculously large crusts? sometimes they are and inch and half wide!

i know they give you a dip (which implies they do it on purpose) but if i wanted dip and crusts i'd buy them - when i buy pizza, i want pizza!

i ask every time for them to make the pizza flat with hardly any crust by spreadint the topping right to the edges so the don't rise so much and they say they will but they never do!

is this a trick to save money on toppings or something? i don't see how as they give a dip. they are very stingy with toppings too. mind you the pizzas are so expensive i doubt a few peppers will make any difference to them.

does this happen at all dominos places or is it just my local one that can't seem to get the idea?

are they taught to do this when they get the job?

thanks

Your right. They do this to save on toppings. Plus a tub of dip costs less than the extra cheese and beef and stuff they would need to cover the pizza properly. I just go to my local Asda (wal-mart) where i can get a made to order (any 4 extra toppings on the cheese and tom base) 14" pizza (any type of base) for 2.95 ($5.15) and they fill to the edge.
