how on earth could this possibly be a video nasty ? i've never seen such a pile of crap in my life.i was waiting to be terrified,but unfortunately was gobsmacked at its utter lack of gore,and crappy music (the americans never did quite get punk,did they)

Back in the day...Driller Killer was one of the MAIN films responsible for kicking off the "Video Nasties" rubbish. The problems started in early 1982 when distributors started taking out full page colour ad's in various magazines, showing a graphic picture of the homeless dude getting his head "Drilled". People took offence and the News Papers went crazy and soon we had the good old "Video recordings Act" of 1984 which got rid of some good films like The Beyond and The Evil Dead but also prosecuted people who showed needless GENUINE animal mutilations in there films...eg Cannibal Holocaust. Oh...and yes Driller Killer is a pile of Poop and No the yanks did NOT get punk...lol.
