Yes it is ! but the BBC don't think we should know about it.
There was a peaceful protest against austerity measures by up to 50,000 people in London today, the BBC didn't want you to know so here is the news. http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/jun/21/protest-march-austerity-london-russell-brand-peoples-assembly
It scares the cr4p out of me that the BBC are so deeply in the Governments pocket that this is hushed up. What do you think ?

yes, yes, I know Lennon sang it. But that's irrelevant, just as nobody needs to know who Hamlet (or even Shakespeare) was to know that "To be or not to be" is a quotation. The headline is quoting a well-known phrase; it's not calling Lennon in support of protesting or not protesting.

(Given that the song's only comment on the effect of protesting is "you better free your mind instead", I'm not sure Lennon's endorsement would be much help anyway.)

the ruts, don't complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief and
jealousy. Don't bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality.

The USA were scared of John Lennon....in what universe?
an online hissy fit!!
So what? There are hundred of things that go on that the BBC pleads ignorance about. Apart from the obvious there's the growth of Sky comedy, freelancers working online, Minecraft, even something like EBay.
