Why would anyone want to kill him? If they planned to eat him I could 'maybe' understand their reasoning. But I think that Satao might be a bit on the tough side.

They are intelligent animals and are very family orientated. The babies are mega mega cute too.

The ivory is sold to be made into trinkets for customers in China and Japan. It's disgraceful.

The only way to stop this is to stop the demand for trade.

The only way to hurt these countries is trade embargo's but this would hurt the West too so dont expect anything too soon.

I suspect elephants will have to be near extinction before anything is done.
