Post Menopausal Bleeding

I had my last period about 3 years ago. On Tuesday I started bleeding, it is quite heavy. All smears up to date and clear. Should I be worried?

Hi Jubi, I have posted a similar question but mine was after 14 months. Had all the usual symptoms that I use to get before I had a period. It lasted as long as a normal one going through all the normal stages. Doctor is sending me for blood tests this friday, full blood count & CA 125 which is a test for Ovarian cancer or cysts. Dr did not examine me at all and I was quite worried till I read your answers & realised there are a lot of women who get this & more times then not nothing to stress about. Feebee, my doctor told me that the majority of cases are nothing sinister so please try not to worry too much (easier said than done, I know).

I'm sorry I haven't been on for a few days. I've been poorly with ear infections and chest infection. Thank you for replying feebee I hope your tests are ok tomorrow. Keep me updated on your results please. Like everyone says it's a common occurrence apparently. It's hard not to worry as Mrs C says but positive mental attitude for us both x

They got my results on Friday but have to wait till Monday until the Dr gets to see them.
