i pod crisis

I love kids but couldn't a whole one! My clever son has jiggered i pod set for macintosh by plugging it into someones pc to recharge it : it has decided it wants to be a windows i pod. How can he reset it to be a mac i pod once again.Thanks in advance for any advice offered.
