The fact that they can't come up with something original is a bit pants really. Maybe someone will make an unoffical one that'll actually do something. The New Order one broke the mould as far as footy songs were concerned, but for me Skinner and Baddiel really gave a fans view with 3 Lions.

"New Order, Ed??"

It's kind of fine? But it's not particularly rousing or exciting?

Memories of "World Cup Willie"
I've heard nothing this year... not a bad thing listening to the offerings New Order was great but nothing will beat Three lions IMO.

ENGLAND won the world cup in 1966 i remember it well, they won by default, the ball was never over the line.

So winning 3-2 would be a default score in your eyes Jordyboy lol.
England won the world cup in 1966. really. ive not heard that mentioned very often !!!!1
**anne - I know Maggie........but we played badly very well :) **

True Scottish logic.

The only reason that England won the world cup in 1966 was that Scotland weren't there - more Scottish logic
wolf,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,we cant argue with logic :)
anne - not the superior brand (Scottish) logic

No you don't, anne.

As an online discussion about football grows longer, there becomes an inevitability that a Scot will (regardless of teams being discussed) mention the 'Russian linesman' or ''the ball was never over the line'

Ramsey's law.
some lovely Scottish thighs in your post, wolf :),,,,,,,,,,, that's what's wrong with football today, the shorts are too long !
I agree Anne - and men think that we know nothing about football.

I like the other game too, the one with the real hunks and they play with funny shaped balls.

St Johnstone won the cup this year - I eventually open my windows at night. The singing in the town centre (city centre now) was loud and, mainly, out of tune. They 'might' have been drunk.
