Of course. I've had this "nice" expierience with hazelnuts. Nowadays it's quite common that people are getting allergic to more and more things.
It's been more and more with allergies to different things in the last (at least) ten years. I feel sure the answer lies with chemicals introduced into packaging and introduced into processing of food. We never used to hear of allergies on such a scale years ago but then we had natural products to package things, like paper, glass etc. I feel fairly confident that chemicals are ruining our health and messing with the immune system. I fear there is no turning back however as industry continues with 'progress' for cheapness et al. What do do. I haven't any idea, perhaps science will conquer it but only, IMO after winning over the industry who dictate what we have in our food and how it is packaged.
