Samsung Galaxy Note (N7000) Phone Problem

My phone has recently started turning off (then back on) every time I make or receive a call. The battery has also started draining quickly (i.e. loses about half the charge in about 8 hours when not in use.

I have had a similar problem with it about a year ago which I think was rectified after installing the latest updates however I already have the most recent update.

Does anyone know how to fix this please without having to return it to 3 for repair?

I think it is still under warranty as I am on a 2 year contract but I can't bear the thought of being without the phone for a few weeks if it can be avoided.

Your best chance of finding a solution is to ask Samsung's UK Support team. Phone 0330 726 7864, 0900-1800, Mon-Sat. I suggest calling from another phone (such as your landline) so that you'll be able to carry out any instructions that you might be given about your mobile.

Both problems appear to be solved now after doing a factory reset (after backing up the data of course). Maybe there was an application running in the background causing the issues. So for the time being I have just re-installed the apps I use the most and let's see how it goes :)
