No. I used to work with a chap from South Africa and I conviced him England was as dangerous as S.A. due to all the badgers and weasels. he had never seen a badger
The answer is....sort of! There is a small mammal in South Africa called a Ratel or Honey Badger. It bears some resemblance to our badger, although it doesn't belong to the same family - but true to its name it's passionately fond of honey which it steals from hives making it widely persecuted by bee keepers.

I have seen honey badger and its not really like a badger much. They have one in the local zoo.
i suppose we wuld be as dangerous as south africa, if we had badgers like that!
