I have a civic that overheats, the radiator fan works but
will not trip on and overheats the system.

there is a fan thermostat on the radiator somewhere , relace it(after checking the wiring)

Thermostat switch for the viscous fan - try testing the wires and then change the switch sensor.

Sounds like you want a Radiator fan switch to me. Which is not the same as a thermostat.
