There are 2 doors guarded by identical looking keepers. One door leads to Heaven and the keeper can only tell the truth; the other door leads to Hell and the keeper always lies. You can only ask either one of them one question. What question should you ask to be sure of going in Heaven's door?

If I asked the other door keeper if his/hers was the door to heaven, what would he/she say?

Does this work?

Following on from Gnu, if the answer is yes, take the other door. From that, if the answer is no, proceed.
Question Author
No, it doesn't work, because you don't know if it is the other door keeper.
an improvement on GNU, after asking the question you do the opposite because you will have extracted a lie either way
This has been asked and answered before - check the AB search...
ask either keeper what the other would reply if you asked which door led to hell, then what ever answer he gives take the other door :-D
Question Author
The definite answer is: 'Which door would the other keeper tell me to go through?' The answer to this question will be the door to Hell.
Alternatively, you could hold up your hand point to it and say to one of the guards..."Is this a pigeon?" or something equally ridiculous.

If he's the guard to hell he would lie and say "Yes", if he's the guard to heaven he'd say "No"...simple
