Happens sometimes. You hear a tune and keep humming it all day.

Thanks guys. Have had Abide with Me for four days and it's getting tedious in the extreme.
Well it is a very abiding tune.
MH is more than what has been suggested by Zoe and Butterbun. It's a form of tinnitus:

The BTA can provide support to sufferers:

Thanks Buenchico. Slightly concerned.
strange, abide with me is one of the songs i get regularly, as well as amazing grace and for some reason an old sparks or squeeze song about a woman shuffling round in her dirty home with fingerless mittens on ~ sorry no idea of the name of the song

thank you for the link noodlearms, stuck song syndrome describes it perfectly what you have sounds really scary!
Sing God Save The Queen - alleged to remove all music earworms.
That works for me, Stephen, when Mr Bruce plays some ropey old nugget of a morning.
God save the Queen is dire compared to other national anthems so yes,it might remove ear worms, my ear worm is 'the sun has got his hat on' if it's a nice day!
