I have twin girls who have just turned four and while they can be quite immature they seem to be doing ok - they can both add very low numbers togethwer ,write their names, read a few words and so on. They started nursery this time last year and seem really happy there. But over the last few weeks the youngest twin has been giving us real problems. She's always been really sensitive and a bit daydreamy but instead of growing out of it over the last few weeks she seems to be getting worse. she will still sit and listen to stories but she's a bit more fidgety than she used to be but if sh'e doing something she loves like playing on the computer can concentrate on it for ages. The rest of the time she would just wander about if I didn't encourage her to find an activity. She's also been so huffy and is wearing my husband and I down with her moods. As the final straw after having no problems since she was trained over 18 months ago she's been wet every day for the last five days.the nursery teacher pulled me aside today and apparently they've noticed the same thing over the last few weeks.Obviously I 've spoken to my girl but but she says she's happy.I need to know if I should be seriously worried about this or is it just another phase.Sorry it's such a long one - thanks for bearing with me!

Is there (in her eyes)more attention towards her sister?

i have a 4 year old boy and a 3 year old girl. my son is very bright and very keen to learn, but also very very demanding (in a 4year old boy kind of way).

his sister seems less interested in learning anything new due to my son being so demanding.

perhaps, your little girl is happy to sit back and give her sister the attention?

At the moment I feel like the youngest ones getting most of our attention, albeit that a lot of it's negative. Having said that the older one has always been the slightly dominant one and usually takes the lead in initiating games and so on.she ( the eldest one) can be quite demanding in following me around constantly and trying to play with me even when I ask for five minutes to wash thedishes or whatever. I gave up work when I had them and I'd like to think I've always divided myself as faifly as I can between thembut obviously there are times of illness etc. where one of them needs a bigger share of my attention.
I shyould have mentioned that we moved house about 6 weeks ago .It was actually the older twin that got most upset about the move. She says she loves her new house but sometimes still misses the old onr. The youngest has been nothing but positive, even saying ' i never liked that old house anyway ' and I'm starting to wonder if she's been holding in how she really feels cause she thinks it'll make us sad.
