I've not read that one piggynose but in the past some of his longer tales have taken a while to get going as he sets the various scenes.
Totally agree, have read almost all his work and love it, but just couldn't do it with this one - gave up after three chapters.
Not heard of this one, but some of his books just drag on too much for me. The only I really liked was The Stand, which was terrific.
Like any prolific author, SK's work is patchy.

I have never managed to get into The Tommyknockers or It, but I think Salem's Lot and Christine are the finest in the genre.
Is the Tommyknockers the one that's written in an accent? I found that difficult. I think his books are quite inconsistent too.
Not read his Books, but the Film 'The Green Mile' with Tom Hanks was very good !
Yes, it was. But Tom Hanks is good in everything!
