Our usually super computer has become acutely slow. One day it was fine, the next day super slow. Slow at turning on, slow at connecting to windows... just slow all round.

We've done a system scan using our Norton... nothing showed up. My husband did a few searches which threw up that it might be something to do with 'registry', so we downloaded something that was meant to help with that. Nothing! Still slow.

Could somebody with some techno-know-how give us some help please?

There are lots of possible causes but the easiest way to undo something that has happened to your PC is simply to run System Restore and choose a restore date before the problem started.

The previous suggestions are valid. Also try getting rid of tempory files; if you use many websites these files can really addup.
Do this by - Programs, Accessories, Sustems Tools, Disk Clean-up.
Select "c" wait until it tells you how much disk space you can save then click Yes.
I have never destroyed a useful file in doing this; so dont worry.
