You might be thinking of the Solar Cycle, but that is an eleven-year cycle. I'm not aware of anything else going on over hundred-year scales but then the Sun isn't fully understood yet so you never know. Anyway... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_cycle

It may help us understand the question if you explain the context. Is there a reason for mentioning 'about a 100 years'?

Everything about this question seems vague.

Special rays? And something special happening either in "100 years or annually"! Thats a rather imprecise timeline.

The scientific answer to your question would be - please clarify and state clearly your questions, preferably with some context.
There are many variations in solar 'activity' covering the whole visible and the invisible spectrum and cycles over many thousands of years. So the answer is Yes ! However this web site will probably answer your question .

Interestly the Sun is in a regular hundred year lull.

So much for Global Warming being a natural cycle. It is happening against the natural cycle.

In a few years when the Sun arcs up again virtually nobody will deny that we are having a profound effect on the climate.
I believe I read somewhere that it is about to flip its magnetic field soon. You may wish to Google it.
Just realised where I read it, in a magazine from last October passed to me to read recently. So may have occurred already. Not that it is 100 years or annually.
@ O_G I think it has flipped as of January this year, coinciding with the 11 year solar activity cycle apparently. I had not appreciated that the suns magnetic poles flipped in some kind of sync with solar output/activity.
