The All Pakistan Private Schools Federation, which says it represents more than 152,000 institutions across the country, has decided that allowing pupils to read the book, ‘I am Malala’, would have a "negative" effect on them. The federation's president, Mirza Kashif, said, "Pakistan is an ideological country. That ideology is based on Islam.... In this book are many comments that are contrary to our ideology."

Not the Pakistanis I know; who send their kids to the best public schools here yet still adhere to their faith.

.... but you don't live in Pakistan - and neither do they.
The iconic display of love for his wife was by muslim Shah Jahan for Mumtaz Mahal, when he built the Taj to her memory.

Theyre not all misogynists!

Tamborine, You’ve gone from bizarrely justifying this with ‘lots of kids don’t go to school’ - to Malala should ‘forget the stirring’ -to conversely calling for education for the poorest (which is what Malala wants) - to Malala is putting us at risk - to telling me that ‘they know the value of education when your own link confirms that Pakistan has one of the highest illiteracy rates in the world – to offering a 400 year old tomb as evidence that they aren’t all misogynists. I’m not at all sure why you are defending this undeniably backward and indefensibly misogynistic culture, but the one thing you haven’t done is answer the question I put to you, so I’ll repeat it. Do you think this book should be banned?
"…The government does not plan to teach it in state schools, though it is not banned…" from your OP link

If Malala wants her voice heard she can blog her book on web for free access to all & where we can comment

Whether you and I are able to read it free of charge or not is irrelevant. The All Pakistan Private Schools Federation which represents 152,000 institutions educating 25 million students across the country, have banned it. I don’t need to read a book to decide whether or not it should be banned. Banning books is synonymous with authoritarianism and repression – and is a very dangerous path to embark upon.
i think malala is hero for those who want to see their child educated, and danger and america agent for those who dont want to see their child educated, she is the symble of education and i think she should be appreciated for her great job in education specialy girls education in pakistan and trible areas.
