I eat a lot of cherry tomatoes, about 15 a day, in addition to a couple of apples a day and various other fruit and veg. Lately, I am unable to eat cherry toms, 'cos they hurt my tongue. Is there any reason for this, like the acid damaging my tongue somehow?

Hey Jamesy boy.. Well tomatoes are very acidic but also they have many good things for your body.. ((oh and there also a diuretic)).. so you might notice you may be peeing more and you may be getting head akes?? anyways do everything in moderation!.... even moderation! haha.. If your always eating large amounts of fruits and tomatoes your getting WAY to much acidic's in your body.. And steak is also a high acidic food.. Try eating just a few bits of vegies a day and a few pieces of fruit a day.. as for meat.. white meats and fishes and salmons are the best for you body... Remember our bodies are made up of Alkaline and Acidics.. if there not balanced then you will notice many problems .. right down to i.e weight gain head akes, depression and so on.... look up Alkaline and Acidic foods... GOOD LUCK!!! I hope I helped
