If you have a good spark, it is possible that no fuel is getting through possibly either caused by a blocked filter or that there is an airlock in the fuel pipe

checked fuel, ....getting to carb but still no start

You might need to pour a small amount of fuel into the spark plug hole if it is dry to get an initial run, otherwise it could be the choke and throttle settings. You may need to try different positions to start. Usually if you close the choke and turn it over a couple of times then open it with about quarter throttle it will fire. Presumably you have checked and cleaned the jets and the engine compression was in good condition before?

How far have you got with the Chrysler?

stanleyman:- I will try the different settyings on s/g Chrysler:- new Battery and spark plugs still no go (when i follow the fuel lines it appears to go to engine"fuel pump" from there it go to a inline filter but this never seems to fill with fuel)thanks for your help
Check that the needle valve in the carb is free and it may be worth changing the filter. You may still get a bubble in the filter but the fuel should still flow. The pipes can also disintegrate and block internally in a very old engine, disconnect to check where the blockage is. The pump does have flap valves inside so check for the correct inlet and outlet position as the fuel can only go in one direction through it and may be reversed.
