I know what the expression Achilles' heel means. But tell me about the man.

Achilles was the son of the mortal Peleus and the Nereid Thetis. He was the mightiest of the Greeks who fought in the Trojan War, and was the hero of Homer's Iliad.
As a baby he was dipped in the river Styx by his mother as this would prevent him from being harmed by any wound. Unforfunately his mum held onto him by his ankle and so when he was woulded there it killed him.
