Hacked Into

Just went as normal on to my online account - have been robbed of £460 - company "magic" net.

Rang Santander and of course with my deafness and nerves - they have said it will take 48 hours to look at the fraud and consider it "fraud" - then a new card etc will be sent.

This would be the second time this happened to me. Last time would be about 12 years ago and it was £700. Anybody else this has happened to. JJCon

the last time it happened to me, same thing. However, about 12 hours later i sat bolt upright in bed and remembered i HAD spent the money, it was just that the company it came up under had a different name. Whoops!

It happened to me about 5years ago,somebody bought a mobile phone, using my details. I reported it to bank straight away,as i bank online and after two or three weeks I got my money back, not a nice experience, hope you get your money back.

thank you - they will be sending me a new card and new security stuff - it is all that hassle. No this was a company based in America of which I do not have connection. In fact they actually charged £1.50 for changing sterling to dollars. Hopefully I will get reimbursed. JJCon

whoopee - was reimbursed within 2 days. Last time it took about 2 weeks and I had to fill in forms called "dispute" I think. Anyway that was good service. JJCon
