I'm reminded of the fiasco that has been the Edinburgh tram. The apparent drink-fuelled nocturnal ramblings of a few inept local worthies who just couldn't back down when the hangover subsided and the memories returned.
A billion pounds for an eight mile stretch of light railway that replaces an excellent bus service for no reason that any normal person can see.
It's easy to spend other people's money.
Ask the people that use the food banks their opinion, this is just about right with the UK.

Sandy, if I have moaned about another building in the past, it was almost certainly the utterly hideous concrete monstrosity that is the Brighton Centre.

It needs a big sign on the front, saying "Yes, we gave planning permission for THIS!'

I'm not the only one who is appalled at the idea of this dopey tower thing ...
