I`ve only flown with them from Langkawi to KL so I wouldn`t be able to compare with a long haul flight. I don`t remember them being bad though (and I would be quite critical)! Try www.airlinequality.com They have Air Asia on there.

Thanks for that have just checked out the web site you both recommended. Mixed reviews seems like the main gripe is trying to contact their customer sevice, lets hope I won't need to.
im traveling around asia right now and have flown with them from cambodia to malaysia and from malaysia to vietnam. personally i havent had any problems with them. im flying with the again from malaysia to hong kong. only thing that bugs me is that your not allowed to eat your own food on the flights. but me and everyone else sneaks food on anyway.
my boyfriend is flying with them from london to KL today so ill post again in a couple of days on what he said bout the flight.
I'm another who will be very interested in any feedback on Air Asia. I travel to the Far East as often as I can afford, but these days the prices are getting way too much - I also have mates who live in KL that will be looking for other options to get back to UK for breaks.

I know I checked out prices with them (KL - Langkawi, KL - KK) when there last year and was impressed with prices, BUT, I need to be sure they are as reliable as the bigger airlines or going cheap could cost more.
Get in some chinese takeaways to prepare for eastern food. Nowt wrong with in-flight foods, just avoid re-heated prawns.

Orchidea will post my experience with Air Asia when I return which will roughly be the middle of March
I travelled with them in December, return from Bangkok to Krabi and I would recommend them. Prices were low and service was good.
I've flown with Air Asia twice and can recommend them. My first flight was a long haul one and everything was alright. Check out tiket.com if you want to book a cheaper offer. I found some good ones and the service offered was worth its price. Media URL: http://www.tiket.com/pesawat/tiket-air-asia

Or take a look at the main page, sometimes they list offers for this company there http://www.tiket.com/
