The BBC is considering making BBC3 available only via the iPlayer. No decision has been made yet and, even if it is, BBC3 will still be there if you've got a 'smart' TV (or if you simply view it on your home computer).
There is a petition on facebook about it.
Here if you want to sign. Not sure what difference it will make..

What's actually on BBC3? I only watch 1, 2 and 4.
Don't tell the bride...Ginge will be gutted :-)
Haha, lol, I'm sure they'll find room for it on one of the other channels :)
What about Uncle? That was a brilliant series.
I like BBC3 because it's mindless TV mainly.

I really enjoyed Uncle.
Currently on the iPlayer Family Guy is never available, it seems. Wonder if that will change?

I like BBC3, they do a lot of comedy which I enjoy. I'm loving Ja'mie Private Schoolgirl at the mo. I hope they don't get rid of it. Now BBC4 I wouldn't miss.
Ja'mie is great!
I like that as well, and Pramface.
Closed as a TV Channel from 2015, but available on iPlayer from Autumn 2015.

Ah well the Beeb has got to make savings somewhere so that it can afford to pay talentless prats like J.Ross salaries beyond the dreams of avarice.
Oh flippin' 'eck !!
Disappointing and a backward step, we need new content rather than the repeats and low level product we see on BBC1
jomifl Ross works for ITV...........
Were it not all repeats I would too. Not all are rich enough to have smart TVs at all let alone the bedroom. And no intent to get a bedside PC. Maybe they'll consider. Moving programmes to other channels.
