I remember when much younger being fascinated by Petamane [have I spelt it right ?] the French guy in olden times Victorian I think, who had a music hall act where he used to fart into a bowl of water, even the future king of England went to see him perform. Apologies to Caran for hijacking her thread it as when jno mentioned the French it all came back to me !
