Is it correct that some drivers like to use the r/h lane on a roundabout to go straight ahead ? I thought it was to go right only ?

Here in the town we have a two-lane one-way system, so if I am going straight over the roundabout and want to be in the right hand lane after I exit, I'd use the inner lane on the roundabout.
