It was very poignant wasn't it?
sorry, I can't watch it as (TO ME) it is unbelievable. Midwives weren't good as that as being personal. My mum had horrendous experiences with midwives.
It was very sad. Enjoyed every minute.
Hi mamy - glad to see your nurses uniform on in your avatar.

Heck Conne, I had a fab relationship with my midwife, mind you, this was in the 70's.
Conne whilst it is true that not all Midwives are so caring and generous, this series is set to the memoirs and as such though it is dramatised, they have to be careful how far they bend the truth.

PS My Uniform is strictly fancy dress.
Mamy LOL you don't need to answer but I do think of you as a caring person hence nursing avatar . I GUESS WRONG WRONG - ie wrong avatar - but a caring person.
Another well handled topic tonight.Only downside is Miranda Hart overdoing the chummy act a bit to much.

Grumpy, you sound just like my son, he can't abide her either.
I love her.
Ferlew your son sounds very shrewd to me.
what happened?
A girl with Downs syndrome became pregnant by a young man with cerebal palsy. What then followed was the reaction of her family when they thought their daughter was in a safe place.Ultimately she lost the baby at 6 and 1/2 months which apparently is a common result in Downs pregnancies.
This is a great series - never miss it! (were all midwives so very posh though?)
As ever well made and moving but I felt disappointed that they pinched the scene where the lovers were finally parted from an episode of David Jasons' frost.
i was in tears too very sensitively written
I must be quite hard. Thoroughly enjoying the series, but haven't been moved to tears - yet!
