Near Leeds West Yorkshire, it was forecast rain but not this.

I'm near Leeds AYG and its not even raining here. It was earlier and the wind was howling, but now all quite.

It's as calm as anything here in North West Wales, but at about 5 this morning it was just as you're describing. The rain was SO heavy and SO loud I actually thought it had come through the ceiling, and was pouring onto the floor in the bedroom.

horseshoes the rain and wind here today was so bad, I had to remove the windchimes form the gutters for fear of them smashing them or pulling them down. they created a right riot, if i let them up, I'd get no sleep tonight

That sounds bad horseshoes. I think the storm is moving on now it's going quieter. I didnt expect that, I always associate electric storms with warm weather. I live between Leeds and Bradford, nearer to Bradford Jeza, are you out Wakefield way? I can't tell which area it's moving on to.

The storm has moved on I think it's stopped raining too but it's overcast and blowing, might have another cuppa before bed.
