I am trying to get a job in the US or Canada, as a Project Manager
I ran my own M & E Contracting Company for 30 plus years, so I have the knowledge and experience.
I had a workforce of 19.
My highest trading year was £7m, which dropped to £1.5m in 2008
I closed my Company down in 2008 due to the recession
I send my C.V. (résumé) and covering letter, but I hear nothing.
Can anybody please help.

It may be worth asking them whether they have had chance to consider your application

That may be the case with one, two or three applications, but I have sent well over a hundred.
If this was the UK I could understand it, but they are crying out for skillied Project Managers.
You need to talk to the US Embassy about getting a visa to work in the USA, it is not just a case of applying for a job and getting an offer. I think the US company has to prove they have been unable to get a suitable person who is already in the USA and then sponsor you to get the visa. VERY EXPENSIVE.
Some details here may help

As I said it is not just a case of sending off an application , you must first prove you are eligible to work in the USA and get the certificate to prove it, without that a US employer can't even consider you.
Good basic advice, Eddie
