why did the UN invite Iran, surely it's between the people's of Syria, not Iran.
Cameron was all set to take us into that war. Fortunately Miliband scuppered that plan. He took a lot of knocks for that especially here on AB, but recent events just show how much Hague, Cameron and Obama were very wrong.
this is what he actually said, not one man can take us into war, unless you are a lapdog to a US president, and Cameron is not that.

39 conservative, lib dems voted against it, it's how its supposed to work.
Ed Milliband was just one of many MP's against action, he wasn't alone in scuppering the idea.
Being a bit economical with the truth there emmie. The Government and rabid Right all blamed Miliband for not going to war. Here is the Daily Star report.

// MPs slam Ed Miliband over Syria backout

GOVERNMENT insiders branded Ed Miliband a “f***ing c***” after he withdrew his initial support for a military strike on Syria.

By Paul Robins/Published 30th August 2013

The PM is said to be livid with Ed Miliband after he withdrew his support for military intervention in Syria
David Cameron was said to be livid after the Labour leader suddenly changed his mind ahead of last night’s Commons vote.

The PM was forced to abandon plans for an attack before UN inspectors produce their report into last week’s nerve-gas horror.

One Downing Street source raged: “Number 10 and the Foreign Office think Miliband is a f***ing c*** and a copper-bottomed sh*t.”
daily star, who the hell reads that nonsense
please listen to the actual piece that i posted, the BBC footage from the House of Commons, dated August 2013,
Cameron is talking, then Milliband, the response by Cameron, as to respecting the wishes of the house,
it's called democracy at work, one man cannot or should not have rights to take this country to war,
and you should stop using terms like rabid, it doesn't you or anyone any credit, like someone keep on saying loony left,
they are Al-queda sponsered and supported
who are ?
I dunno emmie,

// ...Miliband is a f***ing c*** and a copper-bottomed sh*t.” //

Sounds pretty radid to me.
rabid right, is it - i haven't the least inclination of reading this paper, do you think that those terms were used by the PM, his ministers or others. Government insiders, no names then.... no reliable source, only DS word for it
i give as much credence to your quote as you generally do to anything the DM says
Emmie,

Apparently the quote was from The Times, but that site is behind a paywall. The Guardian reported the remark thus...

// A government source told the Times on Wednesday night: "No 10 and the Foreign Office think Miliband is a fuc*ing cu*t and a copper-bottomed s*it."
//why did the UN invite Iran, surely it's between the people's of Syria, not Iran.//

Er for much the same reason that the US is involved in talks about Israel.

Iran has been a major backer of Assad ( like the US is a backer of Israel )

Saying it's between the peoples of Syria is as naive as saying Israel and the Palestinians should just sort it out between themselves!
And no they don't want peace - they want to win

Would you have said the Allied invasion of Normandy in 1944 meant they din't want peace?

That the 1982 Falklands task force meant Britain didn't want peace?

More to the point why do you think we support them - because we're not attacking Assad's forces?

That's a new one, Field Marshall in the Anti-Daily Mail Brigade quotes from a Daily Star link.
