I have downloaded a track from a CD and found it in my library as an MP3. How do I transfer it onto my flash drive please?

Insert the flash drive. Go to windows explorer and navigate to the folder where your mp3 file is. Right-click on it and choos 'copy'. Insert the flash drive.
Go to windows explorer and navigate to the folder where your mp3 file is. Right-click on it and choos 'copy'.
On the left of your screen you should see a list of all the locations reachable from your computer, including your flash drive. Click on the flash drive.
In the centre of the screen you'll see everything already on that that flash drive (might be blank if it's new).
Put your cursor in the blank part of the centre of the screen, right click and choose paste.
Done.
just locate the file and drag it onto your flash drive.
Ratter, there's a danger for unconfident pc users that the drag method results in only a shortcut being added - seen it happen so many times!
Mosaic, you are correct, I have also seen it happen. I was just simplifying things, your answer is exactly right, especially for those that are not so informed.
