I purchased a car in Lawton, OK. I drove from Houston, TX to pick it up, bought it cash in hand knowing it needed break work. It actually needed new breaks. I had to leave the car there and come back to Texas. I was unable to make the 12 hour trip again, so I put the car on e-bay.com. The car/truck sold and now the man who purchased the car is opening a lawsuit against me because i did state "no rust" on the truck, i was unaware of the underneath damage of rust/surface rust because I never even looked underneath the car. E-bays policy doesn't protect against rust/surface rust. Paypal (which is what he bought it through) also doesn't protect in automobile transactions. I spoke with Ebay live-chat and Paypal, both stating I am in the "right" and can chose to refund him if i'd like. This man never asked any questions about the car or asked for aditional photos. The car is 29 years old and you can only expect it to be less than perfect. Who would probably win? I understand that I did put "no rust" but I honestly did not know that was rust underneath, to the naked eye there is no rust.
