Samsung Tv Extension Speakers

I have a Samsung 32" TV linked up to Panasonic Blu-ray Player, Sky HD Box and a Bose Sound System which sits under the TV.I would like to connect a pair of extension speakers which would be positioned to the left and right side of my couch.
However I cannot do so because the "Audio Out" sockets at the rear of my TV have a Netflix box connected to them also.
Is there anyway I could connect a pair of extension speakers using the "Optical" outlet on the back of my TV or is there another method of connecting a pair of extension speakers to my TV ?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated>

Are the "Audio Out" sockets standard phono sockets ? If so, you could put a phono splitter into each of the Left and Right (white and red I presume) sockets, thus giving you in effect 4 sockets.
