probably nothing like this exists but just wondering if telephone work from home jobs still exist- not selling innocent people double glazing. I used to work like this for various companies- one for curtains and blinds and one for a dating agency- just taking enquiries and advising people but eventually these ended with free-phone numbers so I wasn't needed. I do voluntary work answering the phone at home for people who suffer with bowel disorders as I do and I love this type of work- chatting to people and hopefully helping them but sadly no money in it! Anyone know of anything? Doesn't need to be a lot of money just some!

funnily enough I was mentioning them this afternoon but strangely my husband isn't keen! more suggestions..
I'm sure you can do all types of sales cold calling from home. I get pestered by "Charity" publications selling advertising. They are basically a scam, but the people phoning call from home. My business has a system for identifying callers (even number withheld callers) and lots of the numbers are registered to residential property. I'm not suggesting that you work for this type of company but there are other "genuine" sales operators that employ home workers.

Gammaray.

You say your company has got a system for finding out withheld numbers.

Is your company part of the emergency services? If not, you may be interested to know that your company may be in breach of the Data Protection Act.

I checked this out on another forum just to be sure. I work from home using the telephone and I was assured that withholding numbers is a foolproof way of protecting privacy from a private phone.

If you have any info about this software then I, and I'm sure others too, would be most interested.

Seeker- what work do you do from home?

Hi my dogs and me,

I work for a company investigating computer fraud and half of my work is done from home. I use my personal landline and get expenses back from my employer.

Obviously, I don't want clients knowing my personal phone no so I make sure my no is withheld.

Have you tried sending a CV round to employers with a covering letter detailing your experience and telling them that you'd like phone work? You never know, you might get lucky.

Good luck.

Gammaray,

Still waiting to hear about your company's software. I'm very interested (and so is my company) in knowing more about it.
