does anyone know what a " gothic genre " is .. It is for my 12 year old daughter's english homework...thankyou

The gothic genre includes literature such as Frankenstein and Dracula (The novels not the films!). Gothic literature tends to be dark yet romantic. Hope this helps? Frankenstein is a good read by the way - recommend it!
