I've seen this before but I can't remember exactly how it was fixed! It could be that your monitor is set to not a plug n play monitor (see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;
en-us;q182595
). Or, it may be that the video card driver has become corrupt. If you right click My Computer > properties then on the Device Manager tab expand display adapters and see what it is. If it is a standard vga adapter then double click it, under the driver tab click update driver > next > display a list... > next > have disk... > type in: c:\windows\inf then choose the correct video card driver from the list (there should only be one). If there are more than one then install the first one then if it doesn't work repeat the above tbut install the second instead etc. If it appears as though you have a correct driver (eg ATI RAGE 128 for Windows 98) then try and get the newest driver from the card manufacturers web site. Also install DirectX which you can download from the Microsoft site ( http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.a
spx?url=/windows/directx/downloads/default.htm
).

Thank you j2buttonsw, darth vader & LeMarchand for making AB Editor aware of the fact that my two very sensible & polite questions on 'Defragging' (the time it was taking) & 'Help After Defragging' (everything bigger after), have disappeared..It's very frustrating & who, as you say has 'banned' them?! Incidentally, I successfully 'Defragged' Drive C, but now all screens/icons etc., are enlarged. I have tried just about everything to revert back to as it was B4 defragging, but all to no avail. Any further help would be very much appreciated!
