Is it itchy
Where about on your face is it? Does it itch? You say it`s smooth but you also said it is raised. Which is it?
Are you using a different moisturiser?

No not itchy its on the side at ear height. Its not got any dry skin on it but can feel very slight bumps under skin. Sorry it's a job to explain
It doesn`t sound like anything serious. I would try rubbing some 1% hydrocortisone cream (for the inflammation) into it and (if I had it) I would use some antihistamine cream as well
Possibly Slapped Cheek Syndrome?
If so it's not dangerous, might be caused by a virus.
Smart work by Cloverjo.............I can't think of a better diagnosis.
I suffer with rosacea which is a red mark with small raised lumps that the doctor said are blisters. I got some special liquid off the doctor and it went away within about 2 weeks. I recall reading somewhere that you aren't supposed to put hydro cortisone on your face, may have been on the leaflet in the box. The only thing in the meantime I would put on it is moisturising cream and then if it doesn't go, see your doctor as and when. Hope this helps.
My granddaughter has slapped cheek syndrome. Very embarrassing when she was tiny because as the name implies it just looked like red finger marks on her cheek. Still comes out at times but at least she can explain what it is .
Did you ring the GP today, to book an appointment? - or go to your chemist, where the pharmacist can diagnose?
