anyone know the difference between all these seemingly similar lingeries garments? I have also come across torsolettes and longline bars?

You want to keep them in the corset and get them out of the basque!!

Corsets should strictly speaking be tightlacing. That is to say have steel boning and cinch you in good and proper, but the majority that you see will just be a style of top, maybe slightly gothic looking or with lacing detail.


Basques are those lacey underwear things which have a bra built in and often have suspenders too. Girdles are like big suspender belts and normally are used to hold you in as well. Not sure about the other two you mentioned but they're probably just different names for the same things.
