This is just breaking on BBC News - can't find it online.

I'm still on Team Nigella, and feel that this trial has all been about her, rather that the actual accused.

Well ummmm, if she trusted them and they betrayed her trust, that alone should have made her think twice about bringing a case against them. As I've said, Nigella obviously knew what they knew about her, so maybe it was a naive decision.
so whats going to happen about her and her admiitng using class a drugs amongst other things ?........oh sorry i forgot shes a celebrity
I really dont get all this sympathy for her

she should have known that as a celebrity they would shred her and her lifestyle

got any skeletons in you kitchen ?...then be careful what you do, they have a habit of coming to life when youre a celebrity.

I cant believe her briefs (pun intended) didnt ask her "is there anything we should know before all this goes ahead"..."err yeah I have used class A drugs and other substances, only a "few" times" ... yeah right highgella I believe you
I think you're right, baz - no man is a hero to his valet, so prosecuting your servants is always likely to end in humiliation.
I would think Saatchi was the driving force behind the prosecution rather than Nigella, revenge on her being an added extra for him.
//I cant believe her briefs (pun intended) didnt ask her "is there anything we should know before all this goes ahead"...//

There seems to be a common mistake being made here.

Once she decided to make a complaint to the police, the decision to 'go ahead' wasn't nigella's. It was the CPS.

It was a criminal trial. Nigella was just a witness.

As such she would not have 'her brief'.
I think they were probably advised to massively exaggerate the truth.
But as we all know, mud sticks.
Indeed zacks

The American networks will no doubt be sounding out their sponsors and major advertisers
Ah yes Zewl there's always America. A refuge for the disparaged celebrity. She probably already has a 5th Ave pad.
There appears to be a lot of goodwill out there for her for whatever reason. She will survive.
I'm loving the second photo.
Anthony Bourdain, another judge on the show, used to be a heroin addict, a coke user, heavy smoker and drinker.

It didn't seem to do his career much harm.
