I was just diagnosed with cervicitis,..but the worst part about it is that the doctor said it may not be that. It could be chlamydia, or gonorrea. Im terrified. Im in a bit of pain, everything looks normal, but its sore and itches. I've been on the medication for 2 days now, and its not getting better. Any advice on this is much appreciated.

Bad luck dancealot, you should have had swabs and blood tests taken by your doctor so you just need to wait for the results to come through to find out what, if anything, you have managed to pick up.

The best advice has got to be keep taking the medication, and try to do without any of that rumpy pumpy stuff until you have had a second, clear, set of tests!

I know it sounds awful but if you go to your nearest STD clinic you are sure to find a kind female nurse who is likely to be far more aufait with std's than your GP.
She will be able to give you helpful advice and you can offload some stress. You may feel the clinic is an awful place however the awful place is out there where no one knows what each other has.
Nurses have seen many many problems and are there to help not judge. By going you are taking control of your situation for you and your partner.
Be courageous take control you owe it to your body. They will also be able to tell you what it isn't which sometimes is more of a relief,

Your doctor may have prescribed the same antibiotic s/he would have used no matter which infection you had. As long as the medicine works, it doesn't matter to the doctor which one you had. If it matters to you, go to the STD clinic.

go to the clinic - i agree, they are more open and straightforward about STDs. If they cannot prescribe anything more they can at least explain to you what it may be and what you can do to relieve some of your symptoms and stress.

I did get ALL tests done, so I find out in a few weeks. Thanks for the advice.
