A friend I were talking about various things including songs which have parts of them spoken rather than sung.

It reminded me of a song - by Queen I think - which had a short piece, during the final few seconds, where the impression was that it was your mother shouting upstairs to 'turn that noise down' or something similar.

Anyone with any more information? Any appreciated.

Are you thinking about ELO, Mr Bluesky? At the end someone says, "please turn over." Meaning the record.
It's a kinda magic?
I meant I want to break free...
George Michael - Too Funky??
Remembering - Thin Lizzy.

Remember when i was a young man and had just discovered 'proper' music. Whenever i was playing my Purple, Floyd, Zeppelin, Sabbath, Thin Lizzy or Queen, my mother was always shouting upstairs for me to turn it down - or, as she muttered under her breath, off would be preferable.
Puternut, having been a Queen fan since '73, i honestly cannot think of a single track on which that occurs.

It might have worked well at the end of Tie Your Mother Down, but that ends with a high note from Freddie and a loud chord from the band.
as it Those Were The days. Right at the very end Freddie whispers "I Love You", very poignant as I believe it was the last single they feleased
Not quite, Paddy. "These Are the Days of Our Lives" was released as a B-side to the re-released "Bohemian Rhapsody" in 1991 after Freddie died (not cashing in at all), and they released a dozen or so singles after that, mainly from the posthumous "Made in Heaven" album.
I concur with "Too Funky"
Thanks for the info jeffo not really into that sort of stuff was just something I've heard somewhere.
Jeffa, if you count 'It's a beautiful day' and the 'reprise' as 2 tracks, there were 13 on the album. Of which, 6 were released as singles.
Yes.
