Can anyone tell me where to eat with children for a reasonable price in London? We are having a few days there in half term and need a few recommendations but need to keep the cost down too. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Sorry i don't know of any places really, although the Rainforest Cafe is good with kids but i'm not sure how the prices fair. It's like you are actually in a rainforest, it's kinda cool, keep the kids amused. It's near Leicester Square i think. Other than that look at www.timeout.com for more ideas. Have fun!
Just thought, you could also try looking on www.lastminute.com or www.london-eating.co.uk for ideas as well. :-)
I would also look on toptable.co.uk
If you like Chinese, a few retaurants in Chinatown do really good buffet style meals, all you can eat for a fiver, also around Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, there are places like Pizza Hut which also do Buffet style. Have a nice time.
there is a small chain called the stockpot, with a few in the westend, including compton st. in the heart of soho. the food is delicious, freshly cooked and cheap. staff are friendly and they serve wine. have fun!
There are some Travel Lodges in London they might have a good deal ...... www.travelodge.co.uk

Click on any of the following for address details etc.

Chelseagreen I note we both have great taste :)

The stockpot chain is fantastic, my favourite is West End Kitchen in Panton Street just off the Haymarket. You can get a 3-course meal for around 7 no joke. It is cafe style, the food is great, service friendly and very speedy. If you are on a budget, or not really lol, it's an excellent choice. The menu is wide and altered daily. I used to eat there regularly when I worked at the Prince of Wales theatre round the corner, and have since taken many friends and loved ones there who all rate it highly.

Have a lovely time. And if you do get the chance to go anywhere a bit pricier, please try La Perla in Maiden Lane (between Covent Garden and the Strand). It is a Mexican Tapas bar with courses to die for and it is still reasonably priced.

Have fun.

This might be a bit too late, as I have only just registered. Next time your in London. Try The Fryers Delight in Holborn. Fish and Chips cooked in Beef Dripping. Quite a popular place with London Cab Drivers. There is a small cafe part there. I use it Every Saturday night, when I am on Nights. I fetch an order for 12 people, and no camplaints yet. After using for 18 years, I am yet to find a bone in my Cod. Prices are reasonable too.
