How do I go about adding a name to a mortgage to gain joint ownership without having to remortgage? Also, we have two properties, one in joint ownership and mortgage and one at present in sole ownership which we wish to change to joint mortgage.

you can add a name to the mortgage quite simply by visiting your solicitor and drawing up paper work and they will notify your lender. this costs about 300 at present, but different solicitors will quote different. no need to remortgage.
