You can buy some good food with that MPs 11% pay rise, I hope public pressure makes the beggars donate it to the needy

Just read that 80,000 in Britain will be homeless this Christmas. Absolute disgrace in 2013 as is the need for food banks. You would think we were in 1813. Not to worry, all the greedy MPs will have a very happy Christmas no doubt.

Whilst times are becoming tougher for some, and food banks are helpful for some, I see no reason for a big increase in the need for food banks. Is it not simply the case that as the number of food banks increases and word gets around more people will use them? I know some students (with professional parents) who use them just because they are there. I know some people do find it difficult to make ends meet but in my experience for many people it's a question of priorities. For example, I see many school children from impoverished backgrounds turning up to school with bottles of coke, bars of chocolate and giant bags of crisps, saying they had no breakfast, when surely a bowl of porridge and a banana would be far better for them. Some families feed their pets better than they feed their children.
no they didn't have a bedroom tax, they did however open our borders to every man jack, underestimated those wishing to come from newly joined EU countries, causing severe shortages of work, housing, school places, hospitals, and indeed countless illegals who now pervade our country putting ever more pressure on the border agencies who already seem beleaguered. Need i go on.
Good Morning Tony, I think Tops must have emigrated! Or that or he's stuck under his E46 LOL
Wish I could sign your Petition Mosaic, the last time I signed one on AB I ended up receiving Spam E-mails continually from 38degrees.com.
Going on for over a Year now !!
Emmie don'tget me started, if this lot had the BALLS, they should say to the EU, the gate is shut fck off.

Morning TWR, gawd knows where he is.

Food banks, bread lines, could almost be the depression of the 20's / 30's. Wonder what government was in power in those hard times.
hate to say this and spoil the party but food banks have been around a long while, if you visit the capital you can see vans dolling out coffee, sandwiches, hot food to those in need, i remember seeing them back in the 70's. There will always be those in need, however what is grossly shameful is supermarkets dumping perfectly good food, if that was donated i would see that as a good thing.
TWR, I thought all the poor people spent all day in the pub and the betting shop. I'm confused.
so some say and think....
That's what TWR said,Em. That's why I'm confused by his pro-labour stance.
some want their bacon sandwich and eat it, presumably.. i nearly said cake, but that might be a bit strong don't you think....
Confused!!!!! You had better see a GP svejk, It does not need explaining what I mean.
