I am (very slowly) building my first web site following instructions in a good book. The result so far looks "flat" and I would like to put shadows along two sides of my pictures to make them stand off the page.

Is this possible with the programmes I have please? The photos are stored in a separate file as gif images. I don't have any fancy programmes, just Paint, MS Photo Editor and Publisher.
