Screaming Audience On Strictly Come....

Am I the grumpiest misery in Britain or does all the incessant screaming from the Strictly audience detract from others' enjoyment of the amazing talents on show...the dancers, the lighting, the music, the judges and even Bruce's brilliant jokes? The noise just is deafening and really spoils my viewing pleasure with its piercing, agonising drowning-out of all other elements. Can anyone advise how I can get the programme-makers to tone it down, even just a shade?

I couldn't believe it when I just saw this post as I am watching Strictly and I had just thought to myself what a row it was, thought it was just me but I honestly have to keep pressing mute on my telly when all these shows are on!

I've been to a few live television recordings over the years and find that if you need prompting to laugh or cheer, it can't be that funny/exciting or you would be doing it naturally. I felt the same when programmes started using canned laughter. It ruined some programmes, especially MASH.

I care who wins, weecalf.

My name is hc and I'm a Strictly addict
It's not only a Strictly Come Dancing phenomenon, it starts at an early age, and spoils my visits to supermarkets these days.
Doesn't bother me in the slightest, adds to all the excitement as far as I'm concerned. I would hate it to be quiet !
hc - I wouldn't even bother replying to weecalf, he's a wind up merchant !
