AOG, nobody has any more of a vendetta against this party than against any of the other major parties. You may have noticed that whatever Labour does or has done, some will attack it and the same applies to the Tories. If this party wishes to present itself as an important party, it will receive, and does receive, the same treatment. Whether you agree with this party or not, makes no difference.
"Cllr Reeve said: “As long as he’s being honest and transparent and saying what he believes, I’ve no problem with that."

Nor me Cllr Reeve, I am all in favour of people being transparent and saying what they believe, so I am sure you will be delighted when I say that your colleague is a bigoted ignorant boorish twit who on no account should ever be put in charge of anything."

Is that transparent enough for you?
completely inappropriate, they are the ones who usually lose out in society, according to data they are more likely to suffer physical and mental health problems, to get into trouble, if no one cares for them, nurtures them how do they know how to behave, and indeed it would seem any number go off the rails and end up in prison. Perhaps he should do a stint in a care home and see for himself.
