Is it possible for street lamps to move overnight? I was reversing out of my drive on Saturday & managed to bump into one on the other side of the road. This caused the top swan necked section to come crashing to the ground.
I'm sure the lamp wasn't there on Friday :-)

I like some of those.
Was it driving at the time, carrust?...hope it's fully comp :0)

Glad no injury occurred to you, carrust, otherwise I may have had to trek up there and administer the kiss of life, you know? :0)

I remember seeing Jasper Carrot when he used some of those back in the 1970s. He was more a folk singer than a comedian in those days.

No damage to the car & the insurance will pick up the bill. The only thing hurt was my pride.
Your wallet will be hurt as well, expect higher insurance premiums for the next 5 years.

I've got no claims protection:-))))))))))))))) & a very smug Mrs;-(((((((((((((
Sorry ,you have a shock coming, no claims protection only protects the NCB (for example @ 60%) but now you have claimed they will put up the base premium . So next year you will still get the 60% NCB but it will off a higher base premium . If your base premium was £300 this year and you got 60% NCB so paid £120, next year the base will be £600 and you get 60% off that so pay £240. These higher premiums will continue for 5 years!
Claims protection is not worth the paper it is written on, they just use another method of getting their cash back.

Not sorry eddie, i'm pigged off:-(((((
You can still 'shop around' to save on next years premium. As long as you tell them about the accident another company may very well beat your renewal quote. The golden rule is NEVER just accept a renewal quote always get several other quotes from all the comparison sites.
In 42 years I have never used the same insurance company 2 years running, I have always been able to beat the renewal quote often by £100s.
